Shielded Metal Arc Welding also known as manual metal arc welding or "stick" welding, is a manual arc welding process that uses a consumable electrode with a flux to lay down the weld. The main benefit to the SMAW process it's versatility as this process can be conducted in a shop environment or in the middle of a field (no gas needed).
The plasma cutting process is used for manual, mechanised or automated cutting process.
Air Liquide Canada manufactures and supplies a complete selection of SMAW electrodes in Canada for fabrication and repair of all metal classifications.
