GTAW / TIG welding
GTAW (Gas Tungsten Arc Welding) or TIG (tungsten inert gas) welding, uses a non-consumable tungsten electrode to produce arc and weld area is protected by an inert shielding gas. GTAW / TIG welding produces superior quality welds, free of defects and spatter. TIG is widely used in thin sections of stainless steel and non-ferrous metals such as aluminum, magnesium, and copper alloys, AC mode should be used at aluminum and magnesium welding application.
GTAW offers many advantages: no fume, low heat input, precise penetration control, for all position welding.
GTAW process is used for manual, semi-automated, fully automated and robotic welding.

Most TIG/GTAW applications can be completed using a straight Argon mix. For applications where color match or higher deposition rates are required a Helium/Argon mix would be required
