Dry ice / Carbon dioxide snow / Cold chain for distribution
Air Liquide’s dry ice or carbon dioxide (CO2) snow for transporting chilled or frozen products provides excellent results due to its low temperature of -78.5C (-109.3F). Not only can it be used to keep products frozen but it can also create a stable temperature above the freezing point if the right transport packaging is chosen. Dry ice can be purchased in solid blocks or pellets, or can be generated on-site, which is highly sanitary and often more economical. Air Liquide’s snow production systems agglomerate the small carbon dioxide particles into larger flakes.
