Our mixture capabilities

Air Liquide has adopted several practices to ensure the highest level of quality when requested by the customer.

We also offer the following:

  • ACUBLEND™ for Zero Blend Tolerance – ACUBLEND can produce a gas mixture with a unique feature called “Zero Blend Tolerance.” This process can also be used to prepare a gas mixture with precision based on a specified blend tolerance.
  • UNIPHASETM – For applications requiring mixtures with low vapour pressure and liquid components, UNIPHASE manufactures the mixture entirely in the liquid phase using a floating piston cylinder to preserve mixture integrity.
  • MICROGRAVTM for concentrations in ppt – Air Liquide prepares and certifies accurate and stable gas mixtures containing components with concentrations approaching parts-per-trillion (ppt) levels in returnable and non-returnable cylinders. Our MICROGRAV process is a direct blending technique that eliminates inaccuracies inherent in serial dilution methods.

Safety, conformance and certifications

Safety is part of Air Liquide’s DNA, as evidenced by the following:

  • Our strict compliance with regulations: We constantly monitor our operations and can always provide reports documenting the safety of our gases (risks, emergency measures).
  • Our ability to provide training on the handling of our gases and share best practices in safety.
  • Our expertise regarding your equipment, production lines and facilities.

Our brand-name calibration mixtures are systematically analyzed against benchmark standards by the U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology (Standard Reference Materials and NIST-Traceable Reference Materials).

A certificate is an official document issued by Air Liquide Canada and signed by our chemists. It formalizes the results of the analysis performed on the gas, confirming its level of quality. Several types of certificates are available depending on your needs:

Certificate of Conformance Certifies that the gas complies with the specified grade (impurities are below grade levels). Supplied with the gas cylinder
Certificate of Analysis Certifies the concentration of the components in the gas. There is no measurement of impurities. Supplied with the gas cylinder
Custom Certificate Measures what the customer specifies. It often indicates the exact concentration of the components and the presence of certain impurities. Upon request
